SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — BART police have arrested a man who allegedly kidnapped a 17-year-old girl at the Powell BART station Tuesday night, BART said.

Police were notified of the abduction shortly after 8 p.m. The caller said a man “forcibly removed” the girl from the station and dragged her into a vehicle.

A surveillance video from the station confirmed the police’s statements and showed the man forcing the girl out of the station.

The victim’s parents later filed a missing person report. San Francisco police found the suspect and his vehicle around 3 a.m. The suspect was identified as 37-year-old Jamall Blue.

The victim was found Wednesday morning. BART Police Chief Kevin Franklin said the two knew each other and this was not a random incident.

The abduction is the second disturbing incident at the Powell BART station in recent weeks. Last week, a 74-year-old woman was killed after being pushed in front of a train at the station.
