The Needle Rock Visitor Center, campground and Lost Coast Trailhead in Sinkyone Wilderness State Park will be closed August 6 through November 16 due to a road repair effort managed by the Mendocino County Department of Transportation.

Briceland Road (Mendocino County Road 435) will be closed during construction from the intersection with Usal Road to the end of Briceland Road at the Needle Rock Visitor Center. Vehicle and pedestrian access will not be permitted during construction.

The Lost Coast Trail and trail camps will remain open to thru-hikers only during construction, but hikers will need to access the trail via alternate trailheads. Hikers should contact King Range National Conservation Area for information on accessing the Lost Coast Trail from the north and Sinkyone Wilderness State Park for information on accessing the Lost Coast Trail from the south.
